Platinum Fighting Productions presents: Ring of Fire!

December 9, 2007, 1-4PM at the Araneta Colliseum!

If you’re any kind of manly man, you love seeing two barely clothed, sweaty men duke it out until one guy gives or gets knocked the fuck out.

Sure, we have a local version, but here’s our chance to see the fighters coached by some of the greatest fighters we’ve seen. These guys were the one who paved the way for the popularity MMA enjoys today.

We won’t be seeing two guys with a working knowledge of knockthefuckouttery swing their fists around like sledgehammers until something lands and someone goes down. The technique international MMA fights has always been its main attraction; and it is because of that, this production’s well worth the price of admission.

There will be four teams on the card, all led by some of the greatest MMA fighters. We’ve got Ken Shamrock’s team, who’ll bring a rounded striking and grappling Shoot Fighting technique to the table. Royce Gracie, being famous of for it himself, his team will fight with a solid Brazilian Jiu-jitsu fighting style; we’re likely to see someone tap out. Josh Barnett’s team boasts a Catch Wrestling style that I’m really excited to see. Gokor Chivichyan’s team uses a really powerful style of Judo; I’m kinda looking forward to seeing some dude get thrown off his feet onto his fucking head.

Here’s the card:

There’s also an alternate team; for those who are unable to compete. The complete list is at the official site.

Here are the ticket prices.

Patron A (Reserved Seating)- PhP 5250

Lower Box (Reserved Seating)- PhP 3150
Upper Box A (Reserved Seating)- PhP 2100
Upper Box B (Free Seating)- PhP 1050

Yeah, you’re probably thinking that’s fucking expensive, right? No, it’s not. Actually, those prices are quite fair. I would have paid 10 grand to watch the WWE perform, and that’s fake fighting.

I’ll see you guys there.
